Visited for breakfast midweek, arrived early as it can get busy quickly! My mum had delicious home made granola served with fresh fruit, yoghurt, milk and home made compote. I had a kids toastie as the adult portion is enormous and more than I can manage on my own. Service was quick and charming. It can be busy and service a bit slow at weekends, but if you come here for the view, good food and have some time it's always a treat. We finished our brekky with delicious coffee and a take away loaf of amazing brown bread. Highly recommend!

Nice people, great coffees.. No low carb option. Even the salad had pear, honey and caramelized pecans.

We really enjoyed both lunch and breakfast in The Garden Kitchen Cafe. The food was really tasty and the coffee perfect! So much so, we took more coffee and cake to have on the beach after a walk. Yummy

Really nice cafe and garden centre set in beautiful surroundings in the Blackwater valley. The staff in the cafe were really attentive and friendly. It was €10 for a chorizo and gubeen sandwich, which seems a lot but you get 3 huge sour dough sandwiches with a really nice salad and a delicious onion chutney on the side. The coffee is really good too. It's a lovely place to visit and the cafe I will definitely be coming back for the lovely food! Plenty of parking and it seemed to be very wheelchair friendly.

Stopped for a snack. Must admit - my wife knows the owners, might cloud my judgement. It's a bit off the main road -under a kilometre - but quite worth the drive. If the weather's good, the deck outside has some super views out to the sea. Although I'm prejudiced, the food looked good and our scone and cake was perfectly tasty and fresh! Owner managed businesses always produce good food and service in my experience.

High quality café, but high prices I DO like this café. It's got reasonably good space with lovely surrounds and a very nice atmosphere. The staff are friendly. You have the option of sitting outside, which on a nice day, has a lovely view of the Blackwater river as it heads towards Youghal harbour. This is also visible from the café chamber towards the shop. The shop is good for a mooch around to pick up a gift idea or if you're interested in gardening/ornaments. There's a nice little walk around the garden at the front too if you want to pass the time. It's generally quite busy a lot of the time so choose your times carefully. Midweek is best. You may be waiting for your food, but this has improved (not like their Ardmore shop). Nothing cheap though (nowhere seems to be these days with high input costs). If my pics upload, you'll see the small treats for €5.50 each and my combo "bowl" of soup was more like a small cup. It was nice though ... but I won't worry about my diet. Like I said, I still DO like this café and let's be honest - between Clashmore/Kinsalebeg/Pilltown there's not exactly an abundance of choice so it's good to support it. I'll always go back there but not if I'm too hungry, it's too expensive.
